Almond butter

15 MIN

I usually put almond butter in smoothies or eat it with fruit, especially apples 🙂 I prefer homemade almond butter because of more natural ingredients, smaller price, and plastic-free package.

I chose almond nuts due to these reasons:

● Excellent source of fiber, protein, and unsaturated fat.

● Rich in magnesium and vitamin E.

● Gives a feeling of satiety.

● They are rich in antioxidants.

Ingredientai Ingredients
1 cup almonds
Additional: if you want a richer flavor, add a few pinches of sea salt and cinnamon.

Preparation is really simple but requires a little stubbornness and patience. First, roast the almonds for 10 minutes at 180°C. After removing from the oven, leave to cool for 10 minutes.

The next step is mixing. If you have a food processor, I suggest using it because the butter will spin and grind more easily so you don’t have to mix it yourself to keep things smooth. If not, a mixer will also be suitable, but in this case, the mass will need to be mixed and lifted from the bottom by hand.

We start grinding the almonds by pulsing. At first, it will seem that almonds don’t look like butter in any way. That’s really normal – don’t give up. The process can take about 10-15 minutes. Second, don’t forget to make gaps between mixing to prevent your appliance from overheating. When making peanut butter with my old mixer, I literally burnt it so don’t repeat my mistakes 🙂

Once the mass will be like butter, check for the thickness you want and stop when you reach it.

Advice: Use butter with fruit, porridge, cocktails, or just eat one. Enjoy!
